A bad, bad bug...

I was talking to a friend today about her Mother who spent the night in the hospital due to a severe case of food poisoning- AKA food borne illness. Apparently, she had eaten some bad airplane food on a flight yesterday and was ill within hours. Funny enough, her husband ate the same thing and was not affected. After a scary night in the hospital and feeling puny for a day or two, she is on the mend.

Folks, not to scare you, but FBI is lurking everywhere and it's important to do things the right way when it comes to buying, storing, cooking and reheating your food. For infants, small children, pregnant and breastfeeding moms, elderly and certain individuals with a lowered immune function, it's even more critical.

Need some ideas? Lucky for us it's National Food Safety Awareness Month. Check out this website..it's chock full of ways to be safe in the kitchen!
